Fez, February 21, 2012

House of Children ‘Alwafae’ establishment, which specializes in working with and protecting abandoned children, organizes a scientific symposium about ‘the role of society and the psychological health of abandoned children’ in the Fez Conference Palace, On Wednesday February 22 , 2012 at 3.00 PM.

The conference will feature renowned speakers who will share their experiences and provide the public with insightful information regarding this phenomenon.

The conference will start with a presentation by the president of Fez-Boulmane Academy of Education and Training.

Saida Benkirane, a psychologist specialized in psychiatric treatment in the private sector and a professor of the psychology of violence at the Faculty of Art and Humanities in Fez, will also shed light on this topic through her presentation entitled “an experience of a specialist nest to abandoned children.”

Professor Kawtar Raiss, a specialist in psychiatric treatment, will discuss the theme “Clinical ideas on the phenomenon of abandoned children.”

Professor Mustapha Zizi, a specialist and therapist, is due to give a presentation on “institutional psychiatric care for abandoned children.”

This conference is being organized by ‘Alwafae’ association in an effort to raise public awareness about the issue of abandoned children. Topics will include the cause and effect of this social problem, and discuss suggestion that could develop solutions for the common good of society.
