The event is organized by Cervantes Institute of Fez in partnership with Fez Urban City Council and the Spanish Embassy in Morocco with the participation of a group of musicians, poets, visual artists.

This cultural event aims at presenting the art of Flamenco to Fez’ audience, a city which has been classified by UNESCO as “a tangible cultural heritage of mankind”. It aims also at enriching the artistic and cultural diversity of Fez, the spiritual haven of the kingdom.

The program of the festival will be rich through an exhibition that combines poetry, art, and Flamenco with the participation of poets, such as Pablo Garcia Piana, Veronica Aranda, Pablo Antonio Gala, José Manuel, and Pepe de Miguel; in addition to a group of artists like Antonio Bojalance, Julia Hidalgo, Maria José Roth, Francisco Calira, Andréa Angels Alkantara and the Moroccan artist Soukaina Beloula.

The Flamenco Festival seeks to shed light on the traditions of Andalusian music through the Flamenco dance, as well as to involve youth in the revitalization of their city and raise their awareness about the values of citizenship.
