Market Prices Will Be Controlled During Ramadan

Fez – Mohamed El Ouafa, the Minister Delegate in charge of public affairs and good governance, said that the government will control prices in markets during the month of Ramadan, despite speculation for doing so.

In a recent press conference, the minster revealed that due to the good results of the past agricultural season, the government will not resort to importing products from abroad to cover internal demand, as it did last year.

El Ouafa stressed that the government has taken all measures to provide the market with a variety of products during the coming month of Ramadan, which falls in just a few weeks.

Further, he insists that the ministry will intensify measures to control prices, especially during Ramadan, due to the growing demand of products during the holy month.

Ouafa confirmed that due to the abundance of products available in the current market and the steady growth of agriculture, consumers can expect a comfortable month of Ramadan.

The minister also noted the helpful practice of preserving agricultural products as well as the increased production of grains, milk, and other products all over the kingdom.
