Meknès – Morocco and Mauritania expressed their determination to foster partnership in the agricultural field and oases development through a framework agreement signed on Wednesday in Meknès.

Under this agreement, signed by agriculture minister Aziz Akhannouch and his Mauritanian peer Lamina Mint El KotobOuld Moma on the sidelines of the 11th Morocco’s international agriculture fair (SIAM 2016), Morocco and Mauritania agree to reinforce their partnership in the field of oases development via cooperation in scientific research, exchange of visits, sharing information and experiences, and participation in forums and conferences.

The 11th edition of SIAM is organized from April 26 to May 1 under the patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, under the theme “resilient and sustainable agriculture”.
