Join on Telegram Rabat — Sorry, Marlboro smokers. Tobacco merchants in the Rabat-Kenitra region have decided to go on strike from December 26 until January 1, 2017.
The strike was initiated by the National Union of Merchants and Professionals against the popular Marlboro Phillip Morris cigarette brand.
According to local merchants, the protest was initiated as part of an overall desire to increase profit percentages to meet their ambitions.
Merchants also seem to be tired of empty and unclear promises made by the tobacco brand, and the union is supporting their decision to go on strike at least until the New Year.
