The Morocco office will expand ON’s network in Africa, adding to its branches in Nigeria and South Africa.
The newly inaugurated office will be headed by Najwa El Iraki, former director of business development at Casablanca Finance City Authority (CFCA) and patroness of Africa Dev Consulting, an investor support structure on the African continent based between London and Casablanca.
In 2015, the founder and CEO of ON, Brian Pallas, met with Moroccan officials, including Mamoune Bouhdoud, Deputy Minister for small and medium enterprises and the informal sector. to discuss the possibility of initiating a ON branch in Morocco.
The two officials agreed that the establishment of ON in Africa and more particularly in Morocco is an important business opportunity.
“In the time of digitization and financial technology, we intend to work closely with the United Nations to contribute to African development,” said Pallas “It is natural that we have chosen Morocco to develop our activities in the region and thus to support the growth of industrial and commercial activities of companies in Africa.”
