Join on Telegram Rabat – Barcelona key forward, Lionel Messi, has revealed that Real Madrid’s superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, is a ”phenomenal player with a lot of quality.”
In May, Ronaldo praised Messi during an interview with FOX Sports, saying that he likes to watch all of the good players, including Messi.
Real Madrid and Barcelona may be rivals, but most of the two teams’ players enjoy respectful and friendly relationships between each other.
Messi told sports outlet, ESPN, that Ronaldo is “a phenomenal player with a lot of quality, who outdoes himself each year. The entire world knows, and that is why he is one of the best of the world.”
He added that “rivalry is reinforced by the press, not by us.”
He explained that footballers do their hardest to achieve the best every year for their teams, adding that he does not think that “what is said outside of that is very important.”
The Argentinian star also talked about his career in Barcelona “Staying with Barcelona is what I have always wanted, what I have always dreamt of.”
He added that he would not mind playing for this team forever and ending his career in Barcelona, saying “we will see if it will end this way.”
