Rabat – New York City law enforcement has said that they are responding to reports of an explosion at Port Authority Bus Terminal on Monday, which has at least left one person injured.
Police investigations have shown that it was possibly caused by a pipe bomb exploded in a passageway below ground at the Bus Terminal.
ABCNews reported that the police have arrested one person, who suffered minor injuries from the explosion, adding that few others were also injured.
“The A, C and E line are being evacuated at this time,” New York Police Department said in a statement on Twitter, adding that “Info is preliminary. More when available.”
The Port Authority Bus Terminal is the largest terminal in the US. It serves more than 65 million people per year.
