Rabat – The perpetrator of the assault against a German tourist in Tangier appeared before the investigating judge for his first hearing on Tuesday at Tangier‘s Court of Appeal.
The investigating judge decided to put the perpetrator in custody for several charges, including robbery and intentional homicide.
The perpetrator was put in custody under a detention warrant, an official source told Morocco World news.

The victim of the attack left the hospital after health condition improved.
The German tourist was stabbed with a knife, and was taken to a hospital in Tangier where she underwent surgery.
Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced in a statement on June 15 the arrest of the suspect.
The DGSN said that preliminary investigation showed that the perpetrator is a 29-year old man from Guelmim, southern Morocco.
