Rabat – Spanish news outlet El Faro De Ceuta reported that Spanish police have arrested four British suspects for their alleged involvement in an international drug trafficking network. The suspects were allegedly smuggling cannabis from Morocco to Marbella, Spain.
Police seized €100,000 during the arrest operation. The police also found 1,500 kilograms of cannabis during the arrest operation.
The suspects owned a boat that they used to transport drugs from Morocco to Marbella.
Moroccan and Spanish security services regularly collaborate on the fight against drug trafficking, irregular migration networks, and counterterrorism.
In July, Spanish police in Almeria, southeast Spain arrested a 22-year old man wanted by Belgian security services for drug trafficking. He was arrested while he was trying to flee to Morocco through the international port of Almeria.
Spain also dismantled another international drug trafficking network in May. The network cannabis from Morocco to France, Belgium, Holland, and Poland.
