Rabat – The Arab Volunteering Union elected the president of the Moroccan Center for Volunteering and Citizenship, Mohammed Ousfour, as their vice-president.
The election took place during the ordinary general assembly of the Union in Cairo on December 21- 22.
The Union chose Mohammed Tamer Ouajih, president of the Egyptian Association of Volunteer Action, as President, while Lebanese Maher Danaoui of the association “Chabab Al Azm” became General Secretary following the election.
The general assembly of the Union also elected a group of advisers: Morocco’s Mohamed Dahbi, Tunisia’s Hafid Rahoui from the Tunisian Association of Voluntary Action, Hussein Al Jabour from the Jordanian Center for Voluntary Action, Mohammed Tinaz from the Libyan National Commission for Volunteering, and Ahmed Moujahed of the Algerian National Association for Volunteering.
The Arab Volunteer Union is a non-governmental organization that includes bodies, organizations, associations, and centers involved in voluntary action. It aims to support Arab youth in carrying out their volunteer projects and activities to serve Arab societies and to support volunteer creativity in the Arab countries.
