Rabat – English club Wolverhampton Wanderers FC is reportedly interested in signing West Ham United target Youssef En-Nesyri.
The Morrocan striker has been persistently linked with a move to West Ham United since winter mercato. With David Moyes, the head coach of the East London club, seeking to upgrade his attacking options, the feeling at the club is that the Moroccan player is the ideal profile. The English Premier League club has made an offer worth €30 million for the promising striker but Sevilla rejected the bid.
According to reports, Wolverhampton has now joined the race to sign the twenty-four-year-old to replace Brazil’s Willian Jose who is returning to the Spanish club Real Sociedad. The Wolves are reportedly preparing a €40 million move for En-Nesyri as new manager Bruno Lage has put current Sevilla’s striker as a prime target.
Despite reports of a host of attractive offers in recent weeks, Youssef En-Nesyri has said that he is not planning to leave Sevilla anytime soon. En-Nesyri’s agent Anas Ouzifi has also long insisted that the Fez-born player has no intention to leave the Spanish club.

The former CD Leganes player joined Sevilla back in January 2020 for €20 million. In his first half-season, En-Nesyri scored only six goals in his 26 appearances. But the player has blossomed in the just-ended season, leading his club to a top-four finish in the Spanish LaLiga and securing a spot in the champions league next season.
Having earned the trust of both head coach Julen Lopotegui and the technical staff at Sevilla, the Moroccan striker has made headlines this season as one of the up-and-coming young strikers in elite European football. En-Nesyri netted 24 goals in 52 games this season, including two memorable hat tricks against Real Sociedad and Cadiz.
The Sevilla star, who is also now a starter in Morocco’s national team, kicked off his career at the Mohammed VI Academy in Morocco.
With Sevilla playing the champions league next season, it will be difficult for the Premier League clubs to convince the Moroccan to leave the Spanish club for a new challenge next season.
Should he consider a move to the Premier League, West Ham United might be a good experience for the promising player. The club has evolved under David Moyes and will be playing in the Europa League next season.
