Denver- Moroccan kickboxing fans around the world are preparing for an upcoming bout featuring the infamous Romanian fighter that defeated Badr Hari late last year.

Three-time heavyweight champion Benjamin Adegbuyi is scheduled to fight Jamal Ben Saddik on October 23rd at Glory Collision 3. The match, planned to take place in the Netherlands, is a rematch between the two contenders. In their earlier faceoff in 2018, Adegbuyi delivered a knockout blow to Saddik in less than two minutes. This was Saddik’s last fight, and it is only fitting that his return to the ring is against such a formidable opponent.

Glory has ranked both fighters amongst the top ten heavyweights at different points in time, making the fight a close contest between two phenomenal athletes.

“Three years of waiting … I was taught to never stop dreaming, even with all the hardships I went through,” Saddik wrote on Instagram.

Born in Belgium, Saddik is the child of immigrant parents from the village of Aith Hadifa, located in northern Morocco. Ben Saddik has fought as a kickboxer for several decades of his life, making his initial debut into the professional fighting ring in 2011. Since then, the nearly two-meter-tall heavyweight has boasted a record of 35 wins to 6 losses. Of his wins, 20 of them were knockouts.

As he prepares for his rematch with Adegbuyi, Moroccan kickboxing fans around the world will be itching for a win. Adegbuyi, who is known as Mister Gentleman, has previously been able to knock out both Saddik as well as Badr Hari. In his 2020 fight against Hari, a sharp left kick delivered to Hari just minutes into the third round ended the fight in Adegbuyi’s favor.

Now, Jamal Ben Saddik will have the opportunity via this upcoming fight to reclaim glory not just for himself, but for Badr Hari and the rest of the Moroccan kickboxing community.
