Royal Air Maroc Sets Up New Conditions for Passengers Travelling to Spain

Rabat – Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has announced that travelers to Spain will need to provide a certificate that shows they were fully vaccinated at least 14 days before arrival to Spain.

“Travelers to Spain must provide a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that they are fully vaccinated either with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna or Pfizer-BioNTech, Serum Institute of India, Sinopharm or Snovac at least 14 days before arrival,” Royal Air Maroc wrote on Twitter today.

Royal Air Maroc added that both passengers entering or transiting through Spain need to complete an “FCS Health Control Form” before departure.

The company said that passengers need to fill the form at spth.gob.es or via the Spain Travel Health-SpTH App.

“This will generate a QR code,” Royal Air Maroc added, noting that it’s mandatory to present the QR code from the initial point of departure before boarding a flight to Spain.

The Moroccan national carrier also informed passengers that they could be subject to quarantine for up to 10 days.

Morocco announced the gradual reopening of national borders on June 15.

However, the country has remained under a state of emergency since March 2020. The measure enables authorities to suspend flights from and to any countries where the COVID-19 situation is deteriorating.

In October, Morocco suspended flights to and from Germany, the UK, and the Netherlands as part of its proactive measures to limit the number of COVID-19 cases and prevent the outbreak of other variants of the virus.
