Rabat – Emirati’s low-cost airline Air Arabia announced today that it is preparing special repatriation flights from Lisbon, Portugal, to Fez and Tangier between December 18 and 25.
Air Arabia said on its official Twitter, “We inform our customers that repatriation flights from Lisbon to Fez and Tangier are available from December 18 to 25, 2021 (on both ways). Passengers must abide by the conditions imposed by the authorities.”
Travelers are required to check the airline’s official site for further information on travel measures.
Yesterday, Morocco’s national carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced that new special flights are scheduled from Morocco to the USA and Canada on December 23 and 25, 2021.
RAM issued a notice on the same day for travelers to France, urging them to register on a new digital platform known as the passenger locator form (PLF).
The Moroccan government decided on November 29 to suspend all flights from and to the country amid the outbreak of Omicron, a new strain of COVID-19 virus.
Amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, several airline companies are helping repatriate people who were left stranded in Morocco and other countries.
To date, the number of fully vaccinated people in Morocco has reached 22,797,887.
The number of people who received the first dose of COVID is now 24,475,639, while people who received the third dose reached 2,099,402.
Morocco recorded 219 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, making 951,763 the country’s total case count since it first detected the virus in March of last year.
