Fez – Foreign ambassadors highlighted today, January 20, the investment opportunities in the Raba-Sale-Kenitra region at a “diplomatic crossroads,” event.
Morocco’s Diplomatic Foundation organized the “diplomatic crossroads” event to shed light on the region’s investment and development opportunities.
The chairman of the Diplomatic Foundation, Abdelati Habek, stated on the margins of the conference that the “foundation organizes meetings with presidents of Morocco’s regional councils to determine their natural, economic, and social qualifications.”

The crossroads event, according to Rachid El Abdi, head of the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra regional council, was an opportunity to introduce the region’s investment opportunities to the ambassadors.
El Abdi explained that the meeting helped shed light on the region’s investment opportunities and bring them to the attention of the ambassadors, to involve them and attract foreign investment.

The ambassadors present at the event highlighted the opportunities of cooperation and investment in the Rabat region. The Korean ambassador Keeyong Chung said that besides “cooperation between the two central governments,” his country is working on cooperation with regions, “including the Raba-Kenitra region.”
Jordanian Ambassador Jumana Suleiman, said that this is a brilliant opportunity to get to know the investment atmosphere in the region.

The general secretary of the Diplomatic Foundation Jean-Christophe Bertrand said that “40 foreign ambassadors attended this diplomatic crossroad,” to attend a focused talk around the “region’s recent announcement of a MAD 1 billion fund to promote entrepreneurship and employment.”
Bertrand said that through this crossroad the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region, he “hopes a lot of foreign companies come to help develop the region.”
For the years 2022-2026, the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra regional council set out MAD 1 billion ($107.72 million) to promote investment.

The Rabat prefecture has set aside funds for programs including scientific research, innovation, sustainable development, and high-value niches.
Partnership agreements are intended to carry out a regional strategy for social economy and solidarity development, as well as the creation and construction of Sale’s “city of trades.”
A smart city plan for Al-Irfane (Rabat) was also authorized, as were plans for the local development of the Rabat-Sale-Temara region.
