Following his time as one of the fastest players in the Bundesliga, Achraf Hakimi is making another splash in the French league with his speed.

The winger was the fourth fastest sprinter in Ligue 1 in the first 29 rounds of the French championship. Statistics published by Ligue 1 show that the versatile winger managed to get off to the fourth fastest start in the competition, at a speed of 22.7 km/h.

The top five are Romain Faivre (Lyon, 26.4), Franck Honorat (Brest, 25.8) and Ciao Henrique (Monaco, 23.8), and Akim Zedadka (Clermont) who completes the top 5 with 21.8 sprints per game.

Hakimi is considered one of the pillars of Paris Saint-Germain, given his great technical value and his contribution on the field, which makes him one of the most used players by Mauricio Pochettino this season.

Achraf Hakimi could slam PSG once his teammate Kylian Mbappe leaves the club for Real Madrid this summer. What adds oil to the fire is his conflicting relations with the South Americans of the team who keep ignoring him.

French journalist Daniel Riolo said during his RMC radio show that “Hakimi is going crazy. So much so that the South Americans no longer speak to him. He wants to leave.”

Although motivated upon arrival at PSG, the Moroccan winger is feeling uncomfortable with the club and is thinking of leaving. Spanish media outlet OkDiario has reported that Hakimi is considering leaving the Parisian club this summer.

With European clubs preparing their lists of potential players to buy during the summer window, the Moroccan international has piqued the interest of a slew of other European clubs. Real Madrid is eyeing Hakimi’s return, according to Spanish outlet Defensa Central.

Before making his debut for the first team half a decade ago, Hakimi spent most of his formative years at Real Madrid Castilla, the club’s academy. The 23-year-old gained popularity away from Real Madrid, first with Borussia Dortmund on a two-year loan and then with Inter Milan last season.
