Rabat – Low-cost Irish airline carrier Ryanair announced on March 1 its summer program of flights from the Paris-Beauvais airport. Morocco’s Al Massira airport in Agadir features among its new destinations.
Ryanair unveiled 13 new destinations scheduled for the summer of 2022, with 61 cities worldwide and over 240 weekly flights.
The 2022 summer program has 53 more newly added destinations than the pre-pandemic program of 2019, Ryanair said in a statement.
“Ryanair is delighted to announce its largest Paris program which offers 13 new routes to fantastic destinations such as Agadir, Madeira, Santiago, Leeds and Malaga,” said Ryanair Marketing Director Dara Brady.
Through the launch of new flights from Paris-Beauvais airport, Ryanair “reinforces its commitment to increasing connectivity, travel options and tourism in the region,” Brady added.
The marketing director highlighted that Ryanair has significantly increased its capacity by 28% compared to the period before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The summer program was unveiled on the occasion of Ryanair’s 25th anniversary of operating at the Paris airport, with an aim to further “continue its growth in the region, after 25 successful years.”
In November 2021, Ryanair inaugurated a new base of operations at the Agadir-Al Massira airport as part of its partnership with Morocco’s National Tourist Office (ONMT) to boost the destination’s attractiveness.
After Morocco lifted the travel ban on February 7, several airlines resumed their flights to and from Morocco.
On February 28, Ryanair announced the resumption of flights connecting Seville, Spain with Rabat, Marrakech, Tangier, Fez, Tetouan, and Oujda.
