Rabat – Amale Dib, the first French-Moroccan female wrestler to join World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), will take part in the WWE 2022 live event.
The event will take place on April 30 at the Accor Arena in Paris, France, featuring the top stars of WWE, including Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Ricochet, and Bobby Lashley.
On her official Twitter account, Dib said on Thursday that she’s been looking forward to participating in the event since she signed to WWE, assuring her fans that the show is going to be “spectacular”.
Before signing to WWE in 2020 Dib worked as a schoolteacher during weekdays and competed in the wrestling circuits on weekends.
Dib began wrestling in 2012 with her first match for Tigers Pro Wrestling (TWP) in Lille, France.
She also performs on NXT UK, which is a WWE brand, under the name “Amale”.
Dib rose to fame in the independent circuit, as well as the German-based professional wrestling promotion Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) where she was known as “French Hope”.
The Franco-Moroccan wrestler is the 2020 wXw Women’s champion, defeating Killer Kelly, Toni Storm, and Valkyrie to win the title.
The WWE live event was initially scheduled for October 8, 2020, and then May 2, 2021, to eventually be postponed until April 30, 2022, due to the COVID-19 virus.
