Fez – German giants FC Bayern Munich are reportedly close to signing Moroccan-Spanish wonderkid Adam Aznou Ben Cheikh, according to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The news outlet revealed today that the Bavarian club is putting the finishing touches to sign the FC Barcelona left-back on a free transfer.
In addition to FC Bayern Munich, the soon-to-become 16-year-old has attracted the attention of several of Europe’s top clubs. These include Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, and Benfica, which submitted official bids to add the promising talent to their squads.
Yet, Ben Cheikh appears to be set to join the forces of Germany’s most crowned club – and possibly form a lethal duo with Bayern Munich’s newest transfer, Noussair Mazraoui.

Both the player and his entourage are reportedly keen to secure a transfer to the German giants.
Ben Cheikh spent three seasons playing for FC Barcelona youth teams after joining the club’s renowned academy La Masia in 2019. Since then, the Moroccan talent has attracted the football world’s attention with his promising talent, gradually becoming seen as one of the most talented left-backs in Europe.
His eye-catching performances prompted the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to summon him to the U15 team in 2021.
Yet, in the same year, the promising left-back made his debut with Spain’s U16 national team, participating in seven games so far.
Holding dual Morocco-Spanish nationality, the 15-year-old footballer is set to constitute a new chapter in the Moroccan-Spanish football federations’ long-standing push and pull to convince promising talents to join their national squad.
It remains to be seen whether the youngster will have a change of heart in the coming months or even years, and answer the Moroccan national team’s calls, or if he will remain steadfast in his decision to represent the Spanish national team.
