Rabat – Officials from Germany and Morocco have vowed to boost data exchange and strengthen business ties between the two countries through a new agreement.
President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services (CCIS) of Morocco’s Rabat-Sale-Kenitera, Hassan Sakhi, received today Germany’s new Ambassador Robert Dolger. The meeting focused on Morocco-Germany economic relations and included the participation of the Managing Director of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco, Andreas Wenzel.
During the meeting, the two parties signed a partnership agreement aiming to institutionalize cooperation between the CCIS of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and the German chamber of commerce in Morocco.
The partnership agreement essentially focuses on data exchange and economic prospecting. Through the agreement, the two parties pledge to mutually organize trade missions, economic forums, and Business to Business (B2B) meetings.
Both parties expressed their confidence the agreement could boost bilateral trade and stimulate business partnerships between the countries’ economic operators.
During the meeting, Sakhi seized the occasion to congratulate Dolger on his new appointment as Germany’s new ambassador to Morocco.
Sakhi further shed light on the long-standing bilateral relations between the two countries. Morocco-Germany cooperation is especially significant in the fields of employment, sustainable development, renewable energy, and water.
On his part, the German diplomat expressed his country’s interest in deepening economic ties and boosting bilateral cooperation.
The two parties agreed to work together to increase collaborations between businesses, in a bid to serve the needs and aspirations of both nations.
In particular, the two officials pledged to identify prospective business opportunities and implement mutually beneficial business ventures.
