Rabat – Moroccan-American winger Noah Sadaoui recently left AS FAR, the winner of Morocco’s Throne Cup, to join the Indian Super League (ISL) with FC Goa.
On Monday, internal sources from the Goa club informed the Times of India that the deal was sealed and that “Sadaoui has already secured release from the club [FAR] and signed the contract with Goa.”
Another source told the Indian media that the 28-year-old player “fits Goa like a glove,” lauding Sadaoui’s professionalism and skills.
“He is very comfortable with the ball at his feet, can run at defenses, and can play multiple forward positions, though left-wing is what he prefers,” the source added.
Sadaoui’s move to join FC Goa was warmly welcomed by the team, as it has recently lost its “star winger” Jorde Ortiz to the Chinese League One club Sichuan Jiuniu.
The Moroccan player is expected to fill the void Ortiz left. The former winger scored eight goals in 15 games in addition to completing five assists, making him the “most impressive player in last season.”
Although Sadaoui has big shoes to fill, the Moroccan player has a wide range of experience, playing for Mouloudi in Oujda before joining Moroccan green giant Raja Casablanca in 2020 for €375,000. He then played with FAR for the national Throne Cup for €275,000.

Sadaoui also played with the Moroccan national squad for four games at the African Nations Championship in 2020, when the Atlas Lions defeated Mali 2-0 to win the title.
Born in Casablanca, the Moroccan-American football player launched his career with Wydad AC U19 before moving to NYRB Academy in January 2005. The athlete then played for numerous teams in the US, Honduras, South Africa, Israel, Oman, and Egypt before returning to Morocco to join the Mouloudia club in Oujda for €150,000.
While the official announcement of his transfer remains to be released by FAR, FC Goa, or his management, Sadaoui wrote a goodbye message to his teammates in the Rabat-based club.
In an Instagram story published on Monday, the Moroccan athlete posted a picture of the FAR team had taken during the Throne cup, captioning it with the heartwarming message; “Thank You and wish you all the best!”
Sadaoui’s teammates also shared stories congratulating him on his transfer and wishing him the best of luck. Details on his transfer destination or deal were not mentioned.
