Rabat – Irish budget airline Ryanair has announced the launch of a new route connecting Rabat and Toulouse in southern France.

Travel-focused news outlet Air Journal shared the news on Wednesday, saying that the new route is set to operate from November 1, 2022 to March 25, 2023.

Ryanair’s new Toulouse-Rabat connection is scheduled for Tuesdays and Saturdays, using two Boeing planes with a respective seat capacity of 189 or 197 passengers.

The flights’ schedule is expected to change in December and January, with only Saturday flights being operational during the two months.
Air Journal says that Ryanair will not face competition on this route, noting that it is the airline’s sixth Toulouse-Morocco connection. Agadir, Fez, Marrakech, Oujda and Tangier have already established direct flights to France’s “pink city,” says the website.
Besides the Rabat route, Ryanair plans to connect Toulouse to Luxembourg,  Bologne, Birmingham, Cracovie, and southern Tenerife.
This winter, the Irish low-cost airline is set to offer 30 destinations from the Toulouse-Blagnac airport.

In August, Ryanair said that it will add more than one million low-fare seats to its winter flights linking Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, and Greece to 20 UK airports.

The decision came in response to British Airways’ cancellation of 10,000 flights.

Ryanair was quick to jump at the opportunity, promising UK-based families £29.99 (MAD 364.74) flights to “their low-fare city break and winter sun getaways without the risk of flight cancellations and avoiding “Hopeless Heathrow” as well.”

While European airlines have faced logistical and human resource challenges over the past months, numerous low-cost airlines have launched new routes to Morocco as part of their winter schedule.
