Rabat- Users of messaging app WhatsApp experienced problems logging into the Meta-owned app on Tuesday morning October 25.
The app appears to be back online after a two-hour outage, as the number of users reporting the outage appears to have dropped with some reporting that the messaging app is working again.
While they were able to access their conversations, users couldn’t send or receive new messages. After launching the app many users got a “connecting” message even though they had access to the internet. WhatsApp Web also showed an internet error message.
“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” a Meta spokesperson told Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Last year, Instagram and Whatsapp, Facebook suffered a massive outage that left the three sites unusable for several hours.
