Conde Nast Traveler: Morocco Ranks In Top 20 Tourist Destinations

Rabat – Morocco ranked among the top 20 best countries for travelers around the world, according to prestigious travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler.

In their Readers’ Choice Awards for this year, the magazine readers voted Morocco as the 15 most popular travel destination on a list of 48 countries.

Morocco is no stranger to top-ranking tourism destinations. In July, the country appeared on a list of top tourism destinations for 2023 from travel news outlet Travel Awaits.

On the ranking, Morocco came in the eighth position, ranking ahead of countries such as Egypt, Turkey, and the UAE.

In addition to its rich culture, history, and nature, Morocco’s tourism industry is robust as the country is home to some world-class hotels and resorts.

Last year’s Travel & Tourism Development Index showed that Morocco’s tourism industry was the second most developed among North African countries in 2021, following Egypt’s.

Last week, Morocco’s famous La Mamounia hotel in Marrakech ranked the best in the North Africa region for the second consecutive year by the Conde Nast Traveler magazine. La Mamounia, located in Marrakech, has also received countless awards for its architecture and world-class service.

La Mamounia hotel is not an isolated case. Marrakech often dominates hotel rankings in North Africa, holding 9 of the top 10 hotels in the region according to the travel magazine.

The list from Conde Nast Traveler magazine also featured Mandarin Orienta resort coming in third, Kasbah Tamadot in fourth place, and La Maison Arabe in sixth place.

The list of top hotels in Morocco also features Royal Mansour Marrakech, Selman Marrakech, La Sultana Marrakech, and El Fenn Hotel.
