Rabat – Moroccan kickboxing legend Badr Hari will face off against Dutch kickboxer and MMA star Alistair Overeem in the Glory Collision 4 showdown on Saturday evening at the GelreDome in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
The much anticipated fight will kick off at 8:00 pm (GMT+1) and will be broadcast on the Glory Fights website.
The heavyweight clash will mark Overeem’s return to the kickboxing ring since his victory against Peter Aerts under the K-1 banner in 2010.
Since then, the Dutch legend has been competing in mixed martial arts (MMA), creating a name for himself as one of the most prominent heavyweights in the discipline.
Throughout his career, the 42-year-old fighter has been known for his bulky physique. He posted a picture on Instagram today where he is seen in great shape ahead of the fight at a weight of 248lbs (112 kilograms). “Ready,” the caption reads.

The Moroccan legend weighed in slightly heavier than Overeem at 252lbs (114 kilograms). Hari’s fans have high hopes for the North African athlete to taste victory for the first time since 2015.
The 37-year-old Moroccan kickboxer aspires to put an end to his years-long cycle of negative performances and make a needed comeback that does justice to his previous glory.
Hari took to Instagram to express his readiness for today’s much-awaited clash. “I want to enter the ring with my values. Islam is a pillar in my life and I would not have known all the successes without the help of Allah,” he said.
The match also marks the two champions’ first fight against each other in 13 years. The pair’s first clash, which took place in 2008 in Japan, ended with Overeem winning, but the Moroccan champion evened it out in the 2009 K-1 World Grand Prix.
