Rabat – With the aim of strengthening Moroccan-Yemeni cooperation, Rachid Talbi Alami, the speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives met on Tuesday with Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, the Yemini Minister for Foreign and Expatriates Affairs.
The two parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation as well as several international and regional issues of common interest, said a statement by Morocco’s House of Representatives.
The Yemeni Minister noted that his visit to Morocco will mark the signing of several agreements in various fields, to expand bilateral cooperation between Yemen and Morocco.
Also present at the meeting was Ezzedine Al Asbahi, Yemen’s ambassador to Morocco.
During the meeting, Talbi Alami praised Yemen’s positive stance on the Western Sahara dispute, emphasizing that any solution to the artificial regional conflict around the Sahara can only be achieved within the framework of the kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The Speaker of Morocco’s House of Representatives invited his Yemeni counterpart to visit Morocco, to foster greater collaboration between the two nations’ legislative bodies, establish bridges of exchange between MPs, and develop platforms for dialogue, discussion, and communication.
