Rabat – A new weather alert from the Moroccan Directorate of Meteorology (DMN) announced today that heavy rainfall and snowfall are expected to hit several provinces across Morocco from Wednesday to Friday.
Rainfall ranging between 80 and 120 will hit the provinces of Tangier-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, Tetouan, Larache, Ouazzane, M’diq-Fnideq, and Chefchaouen from Wednesday at 10 a.m. to Thursday at 12 p.m.
The weather notice also forecasts rainfall between 50 and 80 millimeters from Wednesday at 10 a.m. to Wednesday 8 pm. In the provinces of Taounate, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane and Khenifra.
Rainfall is expected to range between 40 and 60 millimeters and will concern Rabat, Skhirat, Temara, Sale, Khemisset, El Jadida, Moammedia, Benslimane, and Mediouna.
The same weather will hit Nouaceur, Berrechid, Khouribga, Casablanca, El Hajeb, Sefrou, Meknes, Fez, and Moulay Yacoub.
Between 50 and 70 millimeters of rain is also expected in the provinces of Taza, Ifrane, Khenifra, Azilal, and Beni Mellal from Wednesday at 6 p.m. to Thursday at 11 p.m.
The weather warning predicts strong winds of 50 to 70 kilometers for Wednesday and Thursday in Essaouira, the Rif, Saiss, and the High and Middle Atlas.
Snowfall between 30 to 70 centimeters will concern the provinces of Ifrane, Midelt, Boulemane, Taza, Beni Mellal, and Azilal, DMN concluded.
