Rabat – Heavy storms are expected to produce between 70 and 120 millimeters of rainfall which are set to concern several provincesacross Morocco from Wednesday to Friday.

A new weather alert from the General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN) also forecasts 20 to 40 centimeters of snowfall.

Rainfall between 70 and 120 millimeters will concern Tangier-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, Tetouan, Larache, Ouazzane, M’diq-Fnideq, and Chefchaoue from Wednesday at 3 a.m. to Thursday at 12 p.m.

Downpours of 35 and 45 millimeters will cover the provinces of Taounate, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, and Kenitra from Wednesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The provinces of Rabat, Skhirate-Temara, Sale, Khemisset El Jadida, Mohammedia, Benslimane, and Casablanca will also experience between 20 and 35 millimeters of rainfall during the same day.

From Wednesday 6 p.m to Thursday 6 a.m, the quantity of rainfall ranges between 35 and 50 millimeters and will concern the provinces of Ifrane, Khenifra, Khouribga, Beni Mellal, and Taza.

Fairly strong winds between 50 to 70 kilometers per hour will hit Essaouira, the Rif, the Sassanid, and the High Atlas on Wednesday and Thursday.

Meanwhile, snowfall will affect the provinces of Ifrane, Bouleman, Beni Mellal, Azilal, and Midelt from Thursday at 10 a.m. to Friday at 8 p.m.
