Rabat – The board of Al Barid Bank appointed Al-Amine Nejjar as Chairman of the Management Board of the bank, according to a statement from the group.

Al-Amine Nejjar previously filled the role of advisor to the Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour in 2021, and he officially assumed this new position on January 2, 2023.

Prior to joining the Barid Bank, Nejjar accumulated substantial experience working in the banking sector. He had worked for the banking group Credit Immobilier et Hotelier (CIH) as Deputy General Manager in charge of the Commercial Division.

Throughout his career, Nejjar also filled the position of Vice President of the Alliance of Istiqlali Economists (AEI) and worked alongside Moroccan banking institutions such as AttijariWafa Bank and its subsidiary Wafa Real Estate, where he served as Chairman of the Board.

Born in Rabat’s twin city, Sale, the 55-year-old holds a degree of Higher Studies (DESUP) in business management in developing countries from the University of Paris Dauphine, France.

Barid Bank is a subsidiary of the Barid Al-Maghrib Group. The banking group is one of the leading banks in Morocco, with more than 1,900 sale points.
