Rabat – Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal arrived today at the Rabat-Sale airport ahead of their participation at the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup, which will be held between February 1-11, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat and at Tangier’s Ibn Batouta Stadium.

The Saudi Club shared a video documenting their trip on their Twitter account. Al Hilal received a warm welcome upon their arrival and were greeted by Saudi Ambassador to Morocco, Abdullah bin Saad Al Ghurairi.

Al Hilal will represent Asia in the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup. Meanwhile, Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) will represent host Morocco.

Al Hilal will face off against Wydad in the tournament’s second round at 3:30 pm GMT+1 at Rabat’s Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on February 4.

The game against Al Hilal is expected to be challenging for Wydad, the head coach of Morocco’s national football team said in an interview last week.

“I think the tricky game is the one against Al Hilal,” Walid Regragui said. “If they can get past that one, I think they can go all the way to the final and face Real Madrid. Everything is possible.”

The tournament will see the participation of other teams including, Spain’s Real Madrid, Brazil’s Flamengo, the US’ Seattle Sounders, Egypt’s Al Ahly, and New Zealand’s Auckland City.
