Rabat – In celebration of International Women’s day Nadia Rhaouti represents the important role of women in leading positions through her engagement and her career in investment and exports.
Rhaouti is currently the director of communication at the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE). Last year she was elected one of the 50 inspiring women by an economic news magazine in Morocco Challenge.
Channeling her expertise in investment and exports she is currently promoting the brand Morocco Now. The Moroccan brand helps businesses “reach their goals with a favorable business environment,” according to its official website. She contributed to the brand’s last October 2021 at the Expo in Dubai, including a big poster campaign at the Burj Khalifa, the IAM-Tower in Rabat, in Casablanca, and many more.
The pioneering economist attended the climate conference COP 22 in 2016, where she stated the important role of female entrepreneurs that are involved in the promotion of trade between African countries at a round table.
Ambition and patience lead to success
Her career started with a degree in International Economic Relations at the Mohammed V University of Rabat she finished with honors, according to Challenge. In the following year, she continued her education in higher studies, option economics.
Rhaouti practiced her economic knowledge and gained work experience at the CMPE-Moroccan Center for Export Promotion (now called Maroc Export) in 1994. She also graduated with a master’s degree in Project and Program Management from the International University of Rabat.
In 2009, Rhaouti became the head of the department for agribusiness at Maroc Export and stayed for the next eight years. Her predominant interest has always been in Moroccan exports, During her career, she has led hundreds of missions abroad, guiding and supervising export projects all over the world Dubai, Syria, Russia, and counting.
In 2017 AMDIE was founded by a fusion of Maroc Export and Amdi-Ofec, and Rhaouti became the director of textile and leather industries from 2019-2021. Afterward, she became head of the communication department.
Rhaouti is a great role model for achieving skills through ambitious work and using them for the good of not only Morocco but worldwide.
