Rabat – In a new campaign dedicated to celebrating the upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand, Adidas honored the icons of the new generation of Moroccan women’s football, Imane Saoud and Elodie Nakkach.
The campaign brings together a global family of football legends and women’s football supporters. It features a series of dynamic films that include renowned superstars such as David Beckham, Leon Goretzka, Ian Wright, actress and football fan Jenna Ortega, and Argentina’s World Cup champion Lionel Messi, according to an official statement from Adidas.

The films are part of Adidas’ concept for the upcoming tournament. One of the films, titled “Play Until They Can’t Look Away,” aims to shine a spotlight on the world’s top female footballers who deserve global attention and support due to their exceptional talent and passion for the game.
In the short film, Imane Saoud and Elodie Nakkach, the Moroccan icons, are seen captivating the attention of fans in the streets of Morocco with their thrilling match, showcasing their remarkable technical skills as they seamlessly pass the ball between them.
The campaign also features a fascinating moment when Azzedine Ounahi, a spectator in the streets, watches in astonishment as Nakkach delivers a powerful and precise shot, sending the ball smoothly into a traditional carpet representing the goal and tearing it apart with force.
Commenting on the campaign, Imane Saoud expressed her pride in being part of the Adidas campaign, emphasizing the progress women’s football has made and the support it now receives.
She believes that tournaments like the Women’s World Cup provide opportunities to raise awareness and inspire young women to embrace football.
Elodie Nakkach also shared her excitement, and considered her participation in the Adidas campaign as an “incredible opportunity.”
