The 3rd Marrakech Short Film Festival is coming back in September to put spotlight on both emerging Moroccan and international talents.
The eight day event will kick off on September 22, with organizers emphasizing the festival’s goal to serve as a bridge between the short film industry and the city of Marrakech.
A press release from the festival organizers provided details about the venues where screenings will take place, including the Bahia Palace, the Cyber Park, Dar Cherifa, Villa majorelle, and the Source Hotel among others.
“The third edition of the festival will welcome Poland as the guest country of honor in partnership with the Polish Embassy, featuring a selection of films curated by the prestigious Munk Studio, which has been operating within the Polish Filmmakers Association since 2008,” the press release added.
The Polish selection will feature over 10 films.
Many other movies representing different countries will also be featured, including from the US, Palestine, Cote d’Ivoire, Egypt, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia.
As per the festival’s lineup, this year’s Marrakech Short Film Festival will include seven movies that are competing for the event’s highest accolade.
