Rabat – Burkina Faso’s Football Federation (FBF) announced on Wednesday its squad list for the friendly game against the Moroccan national team on September 12.
The Burkinabe team will include three goalkeepers, Herve Koffi, Kilian Nikiema, and Sebastien Tou.
The squad’s defense includes Steeve Yago, Issa Kabore, Issoufou Dayo, Adamo Nagalo, Edmond Tapsoba, Nasser Djiga, Abdoul Razack Guiebre, Valentin Nouma.
Meanwhile, the team’s midfield will feature Dramane Salou, Blati Toure, Ismaila Ouedraogo, Adama Guira, Sacha Banse, Gustavo Sangare, and Stephane Ky.
Burkina Faso’s forward line for the friendly will feature Cyrille Bayala, Mamady Bangre, Cedric Badolo, Abdoul Tapsoba, Cheick Djibril Ouattara, Mohamed Konate, Dango Ouattara.
Ahead of their game with Morocco, Burkina Faso’s Stallions are set to lock horns with Eswatini for the sixth and last matchday for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The game will take place on September 8 in the Moroccan city of Marrakech.
Meanwhile, the Head Coach of Morocco’s Atlas Lions Walid Regragui is set to unveil the national team’s squad list during a press conference that will take place at the Mohammed VI football complex in Maamora next Tuesday.
Besides their game against Burkina Faso, which will take place in Lens, France, the Atlas Lions will face Liberia on September 9 in Agadir as part of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
The Moroccan squad has already booked its ticket for the continental tournament which will take place in Cote d’Ivoire between January 13 and February 11, 2024.
