Rabat – Moroccan students have dominated the entrance exam for the renowned “Polytechnique” French Engineering School, outshining all other nationalities of foreign students.

Out of 60 foreign students who passed the entrance exam, an impressive 41 Moroccan students have secured a place at the school, Moroccan Channel 2M reported on Tuesday.

These remarkable results not only highlight the brilliance and talent of Moroccan students but also underline their ability to excel on the global stage. 

Among the other nationalities, 10 Tunisian students have successfully passed the entrance exam. 

The remaining 9 students who secured their spot in the school come from Algeria, Austria, Canada, Chile, China, Congo, Lebanon, Romania, and the Czech Republic, with one student accepted from each country.

Located in Paris, Ecole Polytechnique is one of the most prestigious and renowned higher education institutions in the world.

The school was founded in 1794 during the French Revolution to train engineers and scientists for the country. Since then, it has played a key role in shaping the fields of science, engineering, and technology globally.

Admission to the school is highly competitive, attracting top students from across the world who are seeking academic excellence. The school offers a wide range of majors, including mathematics, physics, and computer science, among others.

Over the years, Moroccan students’ consistent performance in competitive entrance exams has been evident in renowned engineering schools across France. 

In 2022, 24 graduates from the “Lydex” science high school in Benguerir, Morocco, were admitted to the French engineering school.

French engineering schools are a popular destination for Moroccan students, who make up 20% and the largest international student population in France.
