Rabat – Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication has announced the approval of a draft law by the Government Council of a draft law on October 5 to create a national prize called the “Morocco Youth Award.”
Every year, young Moroccans and foreigners living in Morocco will be awarded the prize in recognition of their exceptional achievements and innovative ideas in a variety of disciplines.
These disciplines include scientific research, technological innovation, artistic and cultural creativity, as well as volunteerism and entrepreneurship.
In addition to a cash prize of MAD 200,000 ($19,000) for first place, MAD 100,000 ($9,600) for second place and MAD 50,000 ($4,800) for third place, the winners will receive a certificate of recognition and a commemorative plaque.
The announcement of this award is in line with the ministry’s policy of providing opportunities for young people to develop their potential, launch initiatives and pursue hobbies.

By promoting a creative competition on a national scale, the policy aims to promote the creativity and achievements of youth and enhance their contribution to the growth of their country.
Many youth programs have received a great deal of attention from young people, enabling this group to make significant progress in a variety of areas.
Earlier this year, the American nonprofit organization Amideast, the aircraft giant Boeing, the Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, and other partners joined forces to launch the “STEM for Sustainability” initiative for young Moroccans.
The training program emphasized environmental concerns while promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) skills, workforce development, and youth empowerment.
