Rabat – Morocco’s Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) organized a Demo Day for the 4th cohort of the U-Founders Incubation Program on September 22 at its main campus in Benguerir.
The 4th cohort consisted of around forty tech startups operating in various fields including health, education, and agriculture, the university said in a statement on Tuesday.
To encourage innovation, U-Founders launched the “U-Founders Moroccan Entrepreneur Award,” which recognizes the brightest entrepreneurs from each cohort.
The first edition of the award received support from the OCP Group. DeepLeaf startup won the first prize, valued at MAD 50,000 ($4,900), while the second prize valued at MAD 30,000 ($2,900) went to PGPR Technologie. Meanwhile, the Otomoto startup won the third prize worth MAD 20,000 ($1,900)
According to the statement, entrepreneurs from the cohort also had the opportunity to present their various solutions to an audience consisting of investors, business leaders, and other stakeholders in the Moroccan entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Fifteen startups presented their solutions during the Demo Day. The participating startups included Asolar, a startup that develops innovative, made-in-Morocco solar cookers using a patented technology that enables healthy, efficient, and eco-friendly food cooking while preserving 99% of nutrients, with no flame or smoke emissions.
The list included two healthcare-focused startups. The first is Autodiam, a startup that aims to combat false health diagnoses, minimize diagnostic time, and increase cardiologists’ income.

Ta7alil.ma is the second startup on the list and it is the first application in the health sector in Morocco that allows for a connection between patients and healthcare professionals. The main goal is to facilitate communication between different stakeholders and digitize the health records of Moroccan patients.
On the e-commerce front, Biker.ma was among the startups incubated in the program. The startup is the first Moroccan platform dedicated to the listing of new and used motorcycles.. It aims to structure and support the growth of this sector and connect motorcycle sellers and buyers, as well as spare parts.
The list equally featured health-oriented startups including Bodylove, which is a startup focused on the manufacturing of products that solve the problem of incontinence.
Three Startups that focus on enhancing consumer experience were part of the program. Bookylia, a platform that facilitates online booking at any beauty, spa, or hair salon, with visibility on ongoing promotions, was also among the list of startups incubated by the program. The startup also provides a dashboard for businesses to better track and manage their activities.
Corail was another consumer experience startup that benefited from the program. The startup is a financial brand designed for the digitalization of receipts. The Corail system integrates with cash registers through an interface, allowing customers making payments at the counter to instantly receive a digital version of the receipt on their smartphones.

The third startup is Otomoto.ma, a platform designed to facilitate access to spare parts across Morocco, allowing customers to track the real-time availability of any spare part, with a better quality-to-price ratio.
The program extended equally to four agriculture-focused startups, with DeepLeaf being among the prize winners this year. The startup provides farmers with a robot and platform for quickly detecting crop diseases and taking preventive measures to minimize losses during harvests.
Another agriculture-focused startup in the program was Jodoor, a company that manufactures, sells, and operates hydroponic farms for small-scale farmers in Morocco and Africa.
Miranda Drone was the third agriculture-focused startup on the list. The company aims to accelerate the digitalization of Moroccan agriculture by incorporating innovation through drone supervision and monitoring.
PGPR Technologies is the fourth startup on the list and it works to enhance Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) to produce biofertilizers, biostimulants, and biopesticides.
The list equally included Delimass, a startup that allows students to have more dining choices and receive free delivery to their respective schools.
The final two startups are Digiwearit and Poubtec. Digiwearit is an augmented reality-based solutions startup that allows customers to try, visualize in 3D, and customize a product online before ordering it.
The second, Poubtec, is a startup that manufactures containers with waste compaction systems, allowing street bins to hold five to eight times more waste in the same volume, reducing the tasks related to garbage collection and unsightly overflows.
