Rabat – Industry-focused magazine, Industrie du Maroc Magazine, is organizing the third annual International Forum of Industrial Zones on December 12 in Rabat.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Industry under the theme “Sustainable industrial zones: What commercial real estate for economic dynamics?”
The event will feature a number of discussions focused on the sustainability and decarbonization of industrial zones, the land supply dedicated to industrial infrastructure, commercial real estate, and future prospects for the development of industrial zones, the organizers said in a statement.
According to the statement, the event is an “opportunity to bring together industrialists from all sectors, including automobiles, aeronautics, chemicals, textiles, plastics processing, among others.”
Panel discussions are also set to focus on the role of “commercial real estate as a catalyst for growth, an engine of innovation, a key element of regional competitiveness and a major contributor to the economy as a whole.”
Boosting industrial infrastructure is at the heart of public policies in Morocco. The country currently has more than 138 industrial zones and 12 industrial acceleration zones.
Through a number of state projects, Morocco is currently home to over 12,000 hectares of developed or under development industrial land. Therefore, the Casablanca event is in line with Morocco’s national strategy to enhance the competitiveness of the national industrial landscape.
The organizers further explained that the conference “will also consolidate Morocco’s industrial offering by bringing together actors from across the value chain in the industrial ecosystem.”
Last year, the event featured a number of prominent speakers, including Morocco’s Industry and Trade Minister Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development Leila Benali, and AMDIE’s Director General Ali Seddiki, among others.
