Racing Santander benefits from Zabiri’s form
Zabiri has quickly established himself as an important attacking option for Racing Santander, making the most of his opportunities in front of goal.
His scoring record has helped raise his profile in the European transfer market, with his performances attracting interest from clubs seeking young forwards capable of developing further at the highest level.
The reported English interest comes as Zabiri continues to build his reputation in Spain. However, no further details have emerged regarding the identity of the club or whether it intends to make a formal move for the Moroccan striker.
Rennes cannot recall Zabiri early
Meanwhile, Spanish newspaper AS has reported that Rennes cannot recall Zabiri before the end of his loan spell at Racing Santander.
According to the report, the agreement between the French club and Racing Santander does not include a clause allowing Rennes to bring the forward back before the loan expires on June 30, 2027.
The contractual arrangement offers Racing Santander greater certainty as the club seeks to benefit from Zabiri’s contributions throughout the remainder of the season.
Zabiri joined the Spanish side on a season-long loan from Rennes, with his temporary spell scheduled to run until the end of the current campaign.
