Rabat – Israeli occupation forces have left Palestinians no safe place in the Gaza Strip, massacring at least 10,569 since October 7.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the new death toll today, saying that the victims of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza include 4,324 children, 2,823 women, and 649 elders.

Meanwhile, over 26,000 people have been wounded as a result of Israel’s merciless shelling, targeting schools, shelters, residential areas, and hospitals.

Ashraf al-Qudra, the spokesperson of the Palestinian Health Ministry, told the press today that about 2,250 people, including 1,350 children, were also reported to be trapped under the rubble.

The ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza also routinely targets hospitals, and 193 medics have been killed while 45 ambulances have been destroyed since Israel launched its murderous Gaza campaign.

Rejecting the growing international call for a ceasefire, Israel has vowed to target more areas across the Gaza Strip. At the same time, Israeli security forces and settlers in the West Bank have carried out multiple raids and provocative acts in the occupied Palestinian territory.

Today, the UN renewed its unanswered appeal, highlighting the plight of the people of Gaza in the midst of Israeli massacres.

“No bakeries are functioning in the north because of a lack of fuel, water and flour and no food or bottled water has been distributed there in a week,” the UN quoted its Humanitarian Affairs Coordination Office (OCHA) as saying.

The UN statement also warned of a shortage of medical supplies in Gaza, stressing that hospitals in the war-torn Palestinian enclave are now conducting surgeries without anesthesia.

“Adding to the dire healthcare picture, OCHA reported that a convoy of five trucks from WHO and the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA), escorted by two vehicles of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) came under fire on its way to deliver lifesaving medical supplies to the Shifa and Al Quds hospitals in Gaza city on Tuesday,” the UN wrote.

It emphasized that children on life support are in danger and that the situation is worsening due to the Israeli bombardment.

While Israeli occupation forces continue to send short notices and evacuation orders, the UN quoted Gazan health authorities as lamenting that such acts “would endanger the lives of dozens of children who are either on life support, undergoing kidney dialysis or relying on respirators.”
