Rabat – Israel’s war on Gaza is entering its fourth week, leaving a trail of destruction and pushing the number of civilian casualties to 9,883, with over 26,000 injured as of Sunday afternoon.

A statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health indicated that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 9,730 and 153 in the West Bank.

The ministry added that 25,000 Palestinians have been injured in Gaza, and close to 2,200 others in the West Bank.

According to the same source,  around 1,950 Palestinians, including more than 1,050 children, have been reported as missing since October 20.

Countless remain trapped under the rubbles following Israel’s relentless air strikes that have targeted schools, places of worship, and hospitals. Air strikes have put 16 of 30 hospitals out of service in the enclave.

According to Wafa, the Palestinian news agency, the shortage has pushed doctors to perform surgeries without proper anesthesia, even for individuals who sustained severe injuries following airstrikes and women undergoing cesarean sections.

Since October 7, Israel has tightened its 2007-imposed blockade on the Gaza Strip. Reports indicate that Israeli forces are even blocking patients from being transported out of the enclave to seek medical care. The patients include around 2,000 suffering from cancer.

Israel’s ongoing aggression against Palestinians is drawing international condemnation from the international community with protests erupting in cities around the world.
