Israeli occupation forces continue to renew their  rejection of a ceasefire despite international appeals calling for putting an end to Palestinians suffering.

Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen said his country will continue its war “with or without international support,” claiming that  a ceasefire at this stage would benefit Hamas.

The claims came after US President Joe Biden warned Israel that it risks losing international support for its “indiscriminate bombing “ of Gaza.

Converging reports have described Biden remarks as “unusually strong language,” especially after the US decision to veto a resolution seeking the end of Israeli aggression in Gaza last week on Friday.

“They’re starting to lose that support by indiscriminate bombing that takes place,” Biden said.

Biden and his administration have been renewing support for Israeli occupation forces, while opposing  a ceasefire since October 7.

Despite the alarming increase in the number of murdered Palestinians, the US claimed that it has seen no evidence that Israeli occupation forces have been engaged in targeting civilians in Gaza.

“I have not seen evidence that they’re intentionally killing civilians. We believe that far too many civilians have been killed. But again, this goes back to the underlying problem of this entire situation, which is that Hamas has embedded itself inside civilians – inside civilian homes, inside its mosques, in schools, in churches. It is Hamas that is putting these civilians in harm’s way,” US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said earlier this month.

A new update from the Palestinian Ministry of Health said today that the number of Palestinians murdered since October 7 reached 18,608 as of today.

The number of injured victims soared to at least 50,594, while a large number of uncounted victims remain under the rubble.

The health system in Gaza has buckled under Israeli-imposed restrictions and crippling lack of humanitarian aid.

The weather conditions in the region are drastically worsening the situation. Reports said that rescue teams’ efforts have been jeopardized in some parts of the Gaza Strip, at the detriment of flooding caused by the heavy rainfall.
