Rabat – The Rabat Networking Days (RND), a flagship initiative of Morocco World News, convened again for its third edition last week, bringing together experts from various fields to dialogue with university students and share ideas that pave the way for the future.
The RND is a series of networking events that brings together students with leaders from government, business, and civil society. The goal is to provide students with insights into the Moroccan job market and to help them develop the skills and networks they need to succeed.

Throughout the event, participating students had the unique opportunity to explore various professional locations in Rabat, including the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, the Agency for Digital Development, the Canadian Embassy, and the Moroccan Altwork.
Minister Ghita Mezzour’s insightful exchange
One notable highlight of the event was the interaction between the students and Ghita Mezzour, Minister-Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform.
In an exclusive interview with Morocco World News, Minister Mezzour expressed her enthusiasm for welcoming the talented students and providing them with insights into the ministry’s ongoing initiatives.

Minister Mezzour shared, “It was a great pleasure to introduce a group of talented students from Al Akhawayn University who are here at the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform to learn about the work we are doing.”
During this exchange, she elaborated on various projects, with a particular emphasis on the forthcoming digital transition strategy aimed at digitizing public services and positioning Morocco as a hub for digital solutions.

She further emphasized the importance of engaging more individuals in digital technology. Mezzour shed light on the opportunities presented by AI and discussed the ongoing efforts in Morocco to prepare the nation for this technological transition.

Mezzour highlighted the significance of this initiative, stating, “Connecting students with policymakers is an excellent initiative because they learn more about what the country is working on, what we are working on, what awaits them…I took this opportunity to encourage them to become builders of the new Morocco, the future Morocco.”
Navigating digital transition
Following the insightful exchange, Mezzour delved into the missions and objectives of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, aligning her presentation with the audience’s interests.
She elaborated on various responsibilities, including preparing the national strategy for digital transition, ensuring support and follow-up for project implementation, and coordinating efforts with public and international entities in the digital field.

Additionally, she highlighted the ministry’s role in preparing legislative and regulatory texts, particularly in regards to the challenges of the digital field.
To deepen the understanding of the ministry’s objectives, Mezzour engaged in a dynamic question-and-answer session with the enthusiastic students.
