Rabat – In an era where digitalization reshapes economies worldwide, Morocco is embracing the transformation with initiatives like the Rabat Networking Days (RND).

Organized by Morocco World News, the event aimed to equip students with insights into the professional landscape and cultivate essential skills and networks crucial for their future endeavors.

The RND, a recurring series of networking events, serves as a platform where students converge with influential figures from government, business, and civil society.

In its third iteration, the primary objective remains clear: to furnish students with profound insights into the Moroccan job landscape and facilitate the cultivation of essential skills and networks pivotal for their future triumphs.

This event is meticulously crafted to furnish gifted students with an unparalleled opportunity to explore the inner workings of esteemed organizations and forge meaningful relationships with seasoned experts in Rabat

Fostering understanding of digital development

At the heart of the third edition of RND, held on February 1 and 2, a dialogue session was organized with the Moroccan Agency for Digital Development (ADD), offering students a rare opportunity to speak directly with Brahim Ouamane, the agency’s director.

With the mission of structuring the digital ecosystem and fostering the emergence of genuine operators in the digital economy, the ADD as an institution contributes to the promotion of digital administration by ensuring a closer relationship with users (citizens and businesses), as well as setting up a normative framework for digital products and services.

As the ADD spearheads Morocco’s digital transition, Ouamane’s insights provided invaluable context for students eager to understand the nation’s digital landscape.

Ouamane elaborated on the ADD’s mission, which extends beyond mere technological advancement to encompass societal transformation.

“Our goal,” he explained, “is not only to implement digital solutions but also to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among Moroccan youth.” Through initiatives like RND, the ADD seeks to inspire the next generation of leaders to harness technology for sustainable development.

Empowering future leaders

The significance of initiatives like RND lies in their capacity to empower young Moroccans with the skills and networks necessary to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

By facilitating interactions between students and industry professionals, RND cultivates a dynamic ecosystem where knowledge flows freely and opportunities abound.

Ouamane emphasized the importance of such exchanges, stating, “Today’s meeting exemplifies the ADD’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering collaboration. By bridging the gap between academia and industry, we can harness the full potential of Morocco’s youth to drive innovation and economic growth.”

Cultivating entrepreneurial culture

Beyond providing a platform for dialogue, RND aims to instill an entrepreneurial mindset among Moroccan youth, equipping them with the tools to turn ideas into reality.

Ouamane stressed the importance of fostering innovation and creativity, noting, “We want to empower students to think critically, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to address pressing societal challenges.”

Through workshops, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities, RND encourages students to explore their entrepreneurial aspirations and pursue ventures that contribute to Morocco’s digital transformation.

Ouamane reaffirmed the ADD’s commitment to supporting students in their entrepreneurial journey, stating, “We are here to provide guidance, resources, and encouragement to help students turn their ideas into impactful projects.”

As Morocco continues its journey towards digitalization, initiatives that bridge the gap between academia and industry will be essential in unleashing the full potential of the nation’s youth and driving sustainable development.
