Rabat – Amidst the relentless barrage of violence in the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Ministry of Health has released this Saturday alarming figures, painting a bleak picture of the toll exacted by the ongoing Israel Occupation Forces (IOF) aggression.
According to the ministry, the death toll has surged to a staggering 32,705 lives lost since hostilities erupted on October 7th.
In the past 24 hours alone, an additional 82 fatalities have been recorded, with 75,190 individuals sustaining injuries during the nearly six months of relentless warfare.
The ministry’s daily report highlighted the grim reality on the ground, revealing that on the 176th day of the war, eight separate massacres targeting families in Gaza resulted in 82 deaths and left 98 others wounded.
Tragically, many remain trapped beneath rubble or stranded along impassable roads, as rescue efforts struggle to reach them amidst the chaos and destruction.
Compounding the humanitarian crisis is the forced displacement of 85% of Gaza’s population within its own territory. A suffocating blockade imposed by Israel severely restricts access to essential supplies including food, water, and medicine.
Shockingly, the United Nations reports that 60% of the enclave’s vital infrastructure lies in ruins, exacerbating the plight of its beleaguered inhabitants.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the International Court of justice intensified pressure on Israel urging for an immediate action from the Occupation Forces to facilitate the unhindered provision of crucial aid, including food, water, fuel, and medical supplies.
