World leaders have extended their heartfelt condolences to King Mohammed VI following the passing of his mother, Princess Lalla Latifa.

The news of the princess’ death has prompted a global outpouring of sympathy and support for the Moroccan royal family.

In a message addressed to the King, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said: “I learned with great sadness of the passing of your mother to her Creator and Benefactor…On behalf of myself and the Algerian people, I extend my most sincere condolences.”

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also offered condolences to King Mohammed VI on the passing of his mother, Princess Lalla Latifa.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, dispatched similar messages to the monarch.

King Abdullah II of Jordan also sent a cable to King Mohammed VI of Morocco, expressing condolences over the passing of his mother.
In the cable, the Jordanian monarch extended condolences on behalf of the people and government of Jordan to Morocco’s monarch, the royal family, and the Moroccan people, over Princess Lalla Latifa’s passing.
