Rabat- Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri has officially completed his move to Turkish giants Fenerbahçe. The 27-year-old striker, who had been with Sevilla since January 2020, signed a five-year contract with the Istanbul-based club.

Fenerbahçe confirmed the signing on Thursday, welcoming En-Nesyri with a tweet: “Welcome to the world’s greatest sports club, we wish you more trophies.”

The Moroccan arrived in Istanbul on Wednesday to undergo his medical exam before finalizing the transfer to the club managed by Portuguese coach José Mourinho.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, En-Nesyri expressed his deep affection for Sevilla, but acknowledged the inevitability of his departure.

“Today, I am saying goodbye to my home, understanding the situation. All these years, I was clear that I didn’t want to leave,” he wrote. “Now, I do so with the satisfaction of having defended your honor.”

The Moroccan international’s time at Sevilla was marked by significant contributions, with the striker leaving his mark on the club through goals, trophies, and unwavering dedication.

“I leave with titles, goals, but most of all, with unconditional love. Forever and ever,” he added, encapsulating the bond he shared with Sevilla.

En-Nesyri had a productive season with Sevilla, netting 16 goals in all competitions. His departure from the Spanish club marks the end of a successful chapter in his career as he now embarks on a new challenge in the Turkish Süper Lig.
