Rabat – Royal Air Maroc (RAM) acknowledged today that its mobile app and website were affected by the global CrowdStrike outage that impacted a variety of software tools, including the Microsoft 365 package.
The outage today sparked widespread concerns about the overreliance on a small number of software tools.
The Moroccan national carrier wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that its website and mobile app are now operational again after disruptions.
The airline clarified that this outage is caused by a “global third-party IT outage,” noting that all of its services are now restored.”
Popular corporate software provider Microsoft was one of the victims of a security update that impacted a variety of organizations, halting bank operations and grounding flights in many locations across the planet.
Microsoft said that it is aware of an issue with Windows 365 Cloud PCs caused by a recent update to CrowdStrike Falcon Sensor software.
CrowdStrike said that it is working with customers impacted by a “defect found in a single content update for Windows hosts.”
AP quoted the company, adding that the situation is not a “security incident or cyberattack.”
“The issue has been identified, isolated, and a fix has been deployed,” CrowdStirke added.
