Rabat – Moroccan cities erupted in solidarity on Friday with the besieged Gaza Strip, as 95 demonstrations swept across 41 cities, marking a unified call against the ongoing Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) merciless campaign since October 7, 2023.
Organized by the Moroccan Authority for the Support of National Affairs (NGO), the demonstrations echoed a resounding message under the banner “The Palestinian Keffieh, Symbol of the Cause.”
From the western city of Kénitra to the eastern town of Ahfir, and key points in between including Nador, Tangier, Meknès, Agadir, and Taroudant, protesters voiced condemnation of the relentless violence and raised Palestinian flags and keffiyehs in a display of unwavering support.
The Moroccan Authority for the Support of National Affairs (NGO) highlighted the profound public outcry, denouncing what they termed “Israeli massacres” amid a global backdrop of official Arab and international silence.
Since the IOF war onset, more than 128,000 Palestinians, predominantly children and women, have been killed or injured, with over 10,000 others reported missing.
The aggression has compounded with widespread destruction and famine, exacting a devastating toll on civilian lives and exacerbating humanitarian conditions.
Despite international calls for ceasefire from entities such as the UN Security Council and directives from the International Court of Justice to prevent genocidal acts and mitigate the humanitarian crisis, Israel has continued its military aggression with the backing of the United States.
